My research is focused on environmental and crisis communications, with a specific focus on publics and how communities heal after natural disasters, specifically wildfires. My research is motivated by my upbringing in British Columbia, Canada which has seen some of the largest and most devastating wildfires in recent history. I want to be able to help communities that have been devastated by fires, and support local and federal government programs with disaster recovery programs.
